Modeled closely after authentic MTR station and platform environments, the project features simulated ticket gates, automatic ticket vending machines, platform screen doors and other core operational facilities. This creates Hong Kong’s first highly realistic railway training base, offering an immersive learning environment of immense practical value for professional training.
Accurately Replicating Railway Scenery to Create a 1:1 Practical Training Base
A key highlight of this project is the installation of two physical train cabs, specifically designated for future driver simulation training. The team also constructed a 1:1 full-scale train carriage and waiting platform, fully recreating authentic passenger experiences and operational details within a station. Given the cross-disciplinary integration of various station and train equipment, the engineering team maintained precise control throughout the design, construction and installation stages — strictly managing facility dimensions, spatial layouts and interface compatibility to guarantee high realism across the training environment.
