Project Overview:

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department has recently commissioned BPS Global to supply and install fresh water pipes between the Administration Building and the Electrical and Mechanical Services Building of the Tseung Kwan O Tunnel Management Company for the Transportation Department. The project timeline is expected to last for 6 months from December 2022 to May 2023.

The BPS engineering team faced some major challenges during the construction works, the project needs to cross the periphery of the Tseung Kwan O Expressway Tunnel Portal, and construction plans must be planned early to ensure smooth workflow, as well as the time of construction must be restricted from 12:30am to 5:30am daily, requiring an expedited schedule from workers. Additionally, to minimize the impact on tunnel traffic, the project team needs to work swiftly to complete work as fast as possible.

We are confident that with our expertise and experience, along with support from EMSD and the Transportation Department, the system has been running smoothly since May 2023.
