Hong Kong Logistics Technology & Systems Limited (HKLTS) and Hong Kong Centre for Logistics Robotics (HKCLR) held an official signing ceremony today to formalise our partnership in automating drug dispensing inspection using artificial intelligence. This collaboration aims to enhance existing verification workflows in hospital pharmacies and warehouse fulfilment centres with a high-speed, automated solution.
The new system integrates advanced computer vision technology directly within operational workflows to help verify drug packs, labels and quantities, instantly catch dispensing errors in real time.
Designed for seamless integration, the software links directly with standard warehouse and pharmacy management systems. It also includes user-friendly controls to support smooth day-to-day use and exception handling when needed. Built for demanding healthcare and logistics environments, the system is designed to deliver reliable inspection performance and timely processing across a range of operational scenarios.
The success of the project reflects the complementary strengths of both organisations, combining practical operational experience with research and development expertise. Together, they are working to support ongoing system improvement and long-term application in real-world settings.
This partnership bridges the gap between cutting-edge AI research and practical logistics. By strengthening verification processes with automated support, HKLTS and HKCLR are setting a new standard for accuracy and efficiency in pharmaceutical fulfilment, which ultimately ensures safer, error-free drug delivery for healthcare providers and patients alike.
