BPS Global has recently secured a new project from the Architectural Services Department Property Services Branch of HKSAR to design, supply and install glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) simulated timber flooring at viewing platforms in the central and western district's promenade.

 

The scope of the project includes removing existing timber flooring and repairing the supporting structures at Viewing Platform 2 and parts of Tamar Park. BPS Global will engage a registered structural engineer to review the design and ensure compliance with all regulations. We will then supply and install GFRC simulated timber floor tiles to replace the existing timber flooring and will also repair surface channels and clear rainwater drainage systems under the existing flooring. Access panels will be designed and installed to allow for future maintenance of rainwater outlets. Existing installations like stainless steel nosing strips and tactile markers will be reinstated after the new flooring has been installed.

 

The project began in February and has already been completed in Mid May 2023.
